Missing Girls in D.C.

My colleague Keanna Boyd created this beautiful, heartbreaking story about girls who have gone missing, particularly in Washington D.C.

The narration is a poem she herself wrote.

Although a recent Instagram post claiming 14 young women disappeared in the D.C. over a 24-hour period was proved to be inaccurate, the correct numbers are still disturbing. Always fact check what you see online – even blogposts like this.

As a parent, I can’t imagine the nightmare parents of missing children wake up to every day.

My heart goes out to these families, and to the unnamed families who live in limbo, waiting for word of their missing kids.
